Description

Papaya is a TLV-based mobile games company with one of the fastest growth rates in the market and millions of players worldwide.

We’re looking for a Technical Artist who is excited about the game industry. As a Tech Artist, you will work closely with the Game Designers, Lead Artists, and Lead Programmers, advising on technical resources, and researching new techniques. Maintain tools and pipelines, and bridge the gap between our designers and developers.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising between the design and development departments.
  • Import assets & animations, and implement them into the game engine, ensuring product quality and efficiency.
  • Provide hands-on support to artists and engineers regarding asset performance and validation.
  • Investigate and implement new techniques and tools to enhance the workflow and performance.
  • Solving complex technical issues during development.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience - a must
  • Familiarity with game systems and the game development process - a must
  • Knowledge in: Photoshop, Unity (compression methods, optimization, UI system and animation systems) - a must
  • Ability to identify the best tools and software to maximize game delivery.
  • Creative mindset and ability to overcome technical challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with differences between creative and technical teams
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of art and animation pipelines.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in the gaming industry.
  • Shader development experience.
  • Scripting skills.
