Operations QA Specialist



Papaya, one of the world's fastest-growing mobile gaming companies, is looking for a dedicated Operations QA Specialist to join our team in Poland. This position is crucial for maintaining the highest quality standards in our live operations and ensuring an excellent user experience. The successful candidate will focus exclusively on quality assurance activities, avoiding configuration duties to remain specialized and effective in their QA role.


  • Tech Art Bundle Checks: Regularly review the Operation/Tech Art board, inspect assets labeled "ready for QA," and verify their integration across different games on both iOS and Android platforms. Adjust or create configurations as needed.
  • Verification of Changes in Admin Tool: Allocate dedicated time to assess changes associated with fixes, bugs, or new features in our in-house developed admin tool (referred to internally as "Optimus").
  • Calendar and Admin Tool Coordination: Conduct daily checks to ensure all events are scheduled correctly with accurate start and end times, activators, and no duplicate live ops or assets. Verify that all push notifications are logical and adhere to common sense guidelines.
  • Time Machine Audits: Perform multiple daily checks at set time points across at least three different games, varying user profiles, and on minimum version devices. These checks must be synchronized with monetization changes.
  • Cross-Team Communication: Regularly communicate known bugs to the team and liaise with related departments like monetization. Establish and maintain a dedicated QA-Ops communication channel to track all known issues.
  • Release Notes Review: Thoroughly review and validate release notes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Event and Live Ops QA: Conduct daily validations of current and future events, assess the impact of new game versions on existing live operations, and check for feature changes and adjustments in bundles, formulas, and metrics.
  • Collaboration with Poland QA Team: Work closely with the QA team in Poland to coordinate ongoing quality assurance efforts across all platforms.


  • Experience: Prior experience in QA roles, preferably in tech or gaming industries.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to QA tasks.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward identifying and resolving issues.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with technology and enthusiastic about new technologies, especially mobile and gaming platforms.
